Overview
This Hallberg-Rassy 46 was factory delivered as a complete turnkey offshore cruising yacht. No expense was spared on the initial construction or in the continued maintenance and improvements. She has crossed the Atlantic, cruised the Caribbean, the Pacific Northwest, California and Mexico. She has been continually upgraded is ready for any adventure.



Certificate
Delivered with a CE certificate and a CE plaque for Category A (unlimited ocean voyages). The boat was built under supervision of a Germanischer Lloyd representative. Germanischer Lloyd has extended the Hull Construction Certificate to full certification. GL checked the hull, deck and bulkheads, as well as electronics installation, engine installation, rigging, steering system, safety equipment, stability range and more.
Hull
The hull is Awlgrip, white with a blue cove stripe. A rub strake with brass strip is located below the blue stripe. She is built with longitudinal stringers and is insulated above the waterline. The lead ballast keel is attached with stainless bolts. The rudder blade is GRP with an 80mm stainless steel shaft. Heavy cast rudder fittings in bronze.
Below Decks
First class workmanship in selected mahogany, hand rubbed and treated to a silk smooth finish. Sole boards in teak with holly strips, varnished and with carpet. The ceiling is lined with panels. Wooden inner frames for skylights. Upholstery is factory upgraded Dinamica in tan/taupe, carpets are blue/grey and curtains are cream. Dual Webasto diesel heating system with heating vents throughout boat.
Galley
Seagoing galley arranged so one can work safely even in heavy seas. Deep, double sinks. Two well-insulated fridge boxes with Frigoboat sea water cooled 24v electric compressors. Each has a dual thermostat for use as a refrigerator or freezer. Pressure hot and cold water. Freshwater foot pump at galley as reserve. Drawers (including silverware compartments and knife holders), separate cabinets for china and glass, plus stowage for pots, pans, etc. Opening porthole. Gimbaled gas FORCE 10 range with three burners and counter-top insert. Xintex propane solenoid. Microwave oven. Seagull water filter for drinking water at sink. Two hammocks for stowage.
Main Cabin
Two armchairs to starboard separated by a drink table with drawers and a cabinet with decorative glass doors. Varnished magazine rack. Stereo radio. Louvered cabinets and shelves above chairs. Vizio flat screen TV. DVD/Blu-ray player. “L” shaped settee berth around dining table to port with wine/liquor bottle stowage in the table. Two directors’ chairs (in matching fabric) for additional seating at table. Stowage above and below seating. Six opening side windows in coach roof, large central deck hatch. Main companionway hatch lockable from the outside with key or inside with latches. Binocular rack just inside main companionway. Locking safe for valuables.
Navigation Station
The control for all systems is centered to this area. Chart table, 108 x 73 cm, with drawers and cabinets. Instrument shelf for comfortably angled instruments (see detailed inventory). Cushioned navigator’s seat. The electric switchboard, with circuit breakers and light diodes indicating circuits in use, is situated directly aft of the navigation table. 12v/24v DC & 110v/220v AC outlets provide for flexible power supply. Freezer, cupboard and wet locker aft of nav seat. Walk-through to aft cabin has double doors to access large engine room, and a cabinet containing watermaker controls, 220v breakers, a 110v powerstrip for accessories and a custom tool rack.
Heads
Fore and aft: heads/shower compartments in white laminate. Separate shower with curtain and towel racks in each. Showers are drained through strainers and pumped overboard without going to the bilge. Jabsco Quiet Flush Electric large bowl toilets with holding tanks and convenient valves to control discharge. China wash-basin with hot and cold running water, counter top and cabinet. The floor is a formed GRP-showerstall pumped overboard. Opening ports in both heads. A large mirror with light. Washing machine in cabinet in forward head.
Forward Twin Cabin
Located on port side with over/under bunks. Upper bunk folds up. Storage below lower
bunk. Hanging locker, night stand/cabinet, cabinets over bunk, and large mirror. Head on starboard side with a separate walk through between twin cabin and head.
V-berth
has port and starboard berths with removable infill section between berths. Hinged openings on bunks for easy access to large stowage area. Lights and movable fans for all bunks. Gear hammocks by each berth.
Aft Cabin
Double berth on starboard, single berth to port with small seat between. Two hanging lockers and cabinets all around both bunks and aft. Custom plush spring mattresses. Stowage under the berth. Four ports, three of them open. Headroom in the walk-through and the aft cabin is 6′ 3″. Gear hammock by small berth on port side.
Berths
Fabric in light blue/grey. Lee cloths, pillows and 2 full sets of sheets for all berths.
Ventilation
4 hatches plus main hatch/companion way (with mosquito screen). Breeze boosters for all 4 hatches. Custom storage for all mosquito screens and breeze boosters. 13 portholes, 12 of them opening. 6 dorade vents with plugs for heavy weather. One large dorade vent with mushroom cap forward. 24v Hella Jet fans — 5 fixed and 1 movable. All lockers and cabinets equipped with louvered doors and a vented panel in the companionway.
Mechanical Systems
Large engine room provides easy access to all sides of engine and other mechanical equipment and is fully sound insulated.
Engine
Yanmar 4LH-TE 110 HP 4-cylinder, direct injected marine diesel with turbocharger. The engine is fresh water cooled and equipped with oil cooler. Single lever control for RPM and gear shift at pedestal. Shaft drive through reduction gearbox with reverse gear. AquaDrive thrust bearing bonded into the hull in the engine room takes the drive loads allowing softer engine mounts to reduce engine noise and vibration. Cutlass water-lubricated rubber shaft bearing. Dual Racor filter installed in engine room along with dedicated oil change pump for engine and genset. Stripper rope cutter. Gori 3-blade folding propeller with overdrive gear (new 9/04 with improved larger zincs) and spare 3-fixed blade prop.
Bowthruster
10hp Sidepower with control head conveniently mounted on the steering pedestal.
Generator
Westerbeke 6kW genset installed in the sound-proofed engine room in its own sound shield.
Shore Connection
50A power cable and Marinco plug and socket.
Watermaker
ENWA 30 l/hr watermaker. All controls and filters are located in easily accessible hallway cabinet. Numerous spare components on hand.
SCUBA Compressor
Nuvair 220v SCUBA compressor with softstart. AC powered (shore power or genset). Fills standard SCUBA tank in less than 30 minutes.
Electrical Systems
Accepts either 220v or 110v shore power to supply the 220v and 110v systems on board. Presently configured in 110v mode. Mastervolt Soft Start and Mastervolt Isolation/step-up transformer with Variac variable transformer to accommodate for any poor dock voltage tolerances. Numerous well-placed outlets for all circuits located throughout the boat. A factory wiring diagram book is included.

Heavy-duty circuit supplied by shore power or genset, and light duty circuit supplied by Magnum Energy Inverter/Charger with remote panel (24VDC/220VAC).
110VAC
Heavy-duty circuit supplied by shore power or Magnum Energy inverter (24VDC/110VAC).
24VDC
6 x Lifeline 210 batteries for 630ah 24v main house bank. Charges from Magnum Energy Inverter/Charger or Balmar 140amp alternator with Balmar MC-624 3-stage programmable voltage regulator.
12VDC
1 x Lifeline AGM 255ah battery for 12v house service. 1 x Lifeline 12v engine start with emergency start switch. 1 Lifeline 12v genset start with emergency start switch. 12v batteries charge from Mastervolt 12v charger and 100amp 12v Balmar alternator with external Balmer 612 3-stage regulator. Genset has its own alternator.

Spars
Sloop rig, dual spreaders. Spars and rigging from Selden. Hydraulic Main and Headsail reefing and furling from Selden with furling controls at helm. Inner forestay rigged with Selden manual furler. Running backstays (new high-tech line-only runners, 7/07). Stainless steel rigging screws with silver anodized aluminum protectors. Carbon fiber spinnaker/whisker pole stowed on mast with heel lift and topping lift. All internal halyards; decklight; Signal halyard; 2x boom lights for cockpit lighting; second jib halyard; Blipper radar reflector. Halyard bar at mast base for halyard stowage. Stainless steel bowsprit for asymmetric headsails. Preventer lines affixed to each side of boom.
Deck Equipment
Solid laid teak deck with bulwark formed in the deck and hull moldings and fitted with a solid capping in teak. Handrails, companionway, hatch guides, sole and seats in cockpit, and bathing platform are all in solid Bangkok teak. Laid teak deck on top of the GRP deck. The deck is provided with four 1″ scuppers draining below the waterline. Separate compartment starboard of the cockpit for dual propane tanks, includes a propane pressure system with 2 tank connectors with pressure gauges and a tank selector switch. Stemhead fitting with two incorporated anchor rollers. Maxwell anchor rode chain stopper and custom stainless steel deck protector. Fore pulpit of open type and custom stern arch with seats and extended railing. Custom aft dorade cages. International navigation lights plus tricolor top light with all round white at masthead (anchor light). Double lifelines on seven pairs of stainless stanchions. Gates amidships port and starboard, and aft; all with Pelican hook openings. Bimini with stainless steel frame. Granny bars at mast.
Dodger
Trademark Hallberg-Rassy hard dodger of GRP. Five large windows in tempered glass in light alloy frames, center window opens for ventilation. Dual light fixtures under dodger. Teak handholds port and starboard on top of dodger roof. Full cockpit enclosure in synthetic material with aluminum frames and plastic windows. Varnished teak cockpit trays under dodger with varnished teak drink holders port and starboard. Sea & Symphony stereo speakers under dodger.
Ground Tackle
Lofrans 1200W electric anchor capstan winch with motor protected below deck and
canvas cover. Operated from foot controls at bow or buttons at helm. 88lb Rocna primary anchor with 300′ 3/8″ chain. FX-55 32lb Fortress anchor with second anchor rode of 25′ 3/8″ chain and 250′ rode. Anchor bridle with chain grabber and 2 x 25′ 5/8″ rode with leather chafe gear. Draining bow locker for anchor chain and space also for fenders, lines, custom trash storage, etc. Approx. 825 ltr at bow.

Custom arch at stern for dingy, outboards, solar panels, KVH TracPhone, flood lights and assorted antennas. Fitted with two stern seats in teak.
2 sets of cockpit cushions: 1 set of Sunbrella Comfort Sling (Anitque Brass Rib pattern) with 3″ foam (new 9/04) and one set of Bottomsider (closed cell foam). Sunbrella covers for winches, hatches, helm, varnished cockpit trays, folding cockpit table, life raft, dinghy motor and prop and dinghy/davits. Bottomsider cushions for cockpit trays. Canvas sunshade for over boom.

Arch with 6:1 lifting tackle (includes cam and regular cleats for ease and safety). Webbing with stainless buckles for securing underway. Outboard lifting tackle with motor mounts on arch. Sunbrella cover for dinghy on davits and for outboard motor and prop. Folding padeyes on bow of boat for dinghy tie down on offshore passages or heavy weather.
